Care and drum maintenance

Stainless steel is preferred for water-based appliances. Keep the drum in good condition with the steps below.

• Remove all metal items from laundry, including coins and clips.
• Button garments, close zips and covers, secure hooks and fasteners. Avoid washing belts and buckles where possible, buckle them if you must.
• Empty pockets, undo cuffs, unfold clothing.
• Use a laundry bag for small, delicate, or metal-trimmed items.
• After use, dry the drum with a soft cloth. If storing or not using for an extended period, leave the lid slightly open to ventilate.
• Refer to the user manual for full instructions.

What can cause rust on a stainless steel drum

• Surface rust from foreign metal objects: clean the drum with a suitable agent such as citric acid powder, machine cleaner, hob cleaner, or steel polish.
• Scratches or dents that breach the protective surface from loose metal objects or using the drum for storage: this damage cannot be removed and the drum must be replaced.
